Second ‘Oblivion’ International Trailer with New Footage

Drones are in the news quite a bit these days. Joseph Kosinski offers his vision of a future ruled by these remote controlled killing machines in his original sci-fi thriller Oblivion. Tom Cruise stars as a baseball cap wearing drone repairman on a devastated earth who uncovers a dark secret after rescuing a crashed female pilot he must nurse back to health. The second international trailer has arrived for this spring release from the minds that brought us Tron: Legacy and Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. Watch and learn what our world might become over the course of another couple decades.

I like the idea of a conspiracy, I just hope the conspiracy is something greater than humans lying to humans, maybe something like Machines were the real enemy, they won and then took humans and made them believe a different story, and Tom's character is just one of those who has no idea that there were no aliens at all.. type thing.

I like this live-action take on Wall-E (jk, folks), and the fact that M83 is working on this makes this an instant watch for me, but I'm just not sure Cruise was the best choice of lead..

I cant wait to see this. In this age of sequels, prequels and reboots, it is nice to see something new.
