Not much is known about the upcoming film Real Steel, other than Shawn Levy is directing and Hugh Jackman will star, but Levy recently spilled some new details on the film. Sci Fi Wire recently spoke with Levy, who was promoting the DVD release of his new film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, and he revealed some new details on the film.

"It's faithful to the story in that that story was very much about a down-on-his-luck, slightly desperate journeyman who works in this robot boxing sport and who is desperately needing redemption and one last shot. The movie is more Rocky than Transformers."

The story Levy was referring to is the short story by Richard Matheson which the film is based on. CLICK HERE to read more of the site's piece. Real Steel is set for a 2011 release.
