Actress Sienna Miller has joined the cast of Foxcatcher for Annapurna Pictures and director Bennett Miller (Moneyball).

The drama is based on the true story of Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo), who was murdered by his paranoid scizophrenic friend Jon Du Pont (Steve Carell) in 1996. Jon Du Pont was an heir to the Du Pont chemical company, who built a wrestling training facility dubbed "Team Foxcatcher" on his sprawling Pennsylvania estate. Schultz tried to get Du Pont help for years before the murder. Sienna Miller will play Nancy, Doug Schultz's wife. Channing Tatum is also starring as Schultz's younger brother.

Bennett Miller is directing from a screenplay by Dan Futterman and E. Max Frye. Megan Ellison is producing and financing the drama through her Annapurna Pictures banner. Bennett Miller will also produce alongside Anthony Bregman and Jon Kilik. Production is scheduled to begin later this month in Pittsburgh.
