According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simon Baker (The Mentalist) and Paul Bettany (Legion) are in talks to join Margin Call. This independent film will examine the recent financial crisis.

J.C. Chandor wrote and will direct this film set around employees of an investment bank during a roller coaster 24-hour period amidst the 2008 financial collapse.

Baker will play a ruthless, high-powered securities broker. Bettany is going to be a top-tier trader, who is "unabashedly unafraid of who he is even as the crisis deepens."

Zachary Quinto is producing Margin Call which is set to begin shooting next week in New York.
