We reported back in March that a popular CW series would be back for a 10th season and now it seems that 10th season will be its last season. Hollywood Life caught up with Smallville star Tom Welling last night and he confirmed that the upcoming 10th season of Smallville will in fact be the final season.

"Season 10 of Smallville will be the last season," Welling told the site.

The CW Network's upfront presentation is taking place tomorrow and Ausiello Files reports that the network was planning to announce the news at the upfront, with Welling himself said to deliver the news at presentation.

Smallville stars Tom Welling, Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Cassidy Freeman, Callum Blue, Justin Hartley and Pam Grier.
