Warner Bros. has hired Rupert Sanders to direct an upcoming biopic centering the french 18th and 19th century military leader Napoleon.

Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military and political leader who rose to prominence during the latter stages of the French Revolution and it's associated wars in Europe. He lived from August 15, 1769 to May 5, 1821.

The Killing scribe Jeremy Doner is writing the script, which is being described as being Scarface-like. Gianni Nunnari will be producing.

Rupert Sanders most recently directed Snow White and the Huntsman, which was his directorial debut. He is also working on the sci-fi project The Juliet, 90 Church and an untitled Van Helsing remake.
