Paramount moves forward with Soapdish remake
Actor-writer Ben Schwartz, who was last seen in The Other Guys and Mystery Team, has been hired by Paramount to write a remake for the 1991 comedy Soapdish.

The original movie, which was headlined by Sally Field, Kevin Kline, Robert Downey Jr., and Whoopi Goldberg, chronicled the behind-the-scenes antics of a popular afternoon soap opera.

Original producer Alan Greisman, who obviously hasn't had an original idea in a very long time, is teaming up with Rob Reiner to produce this regurgitated turd of a not very popular movie to begin with.

Not start date has been set for the Soapdish remake.
