Tom Holland recently did quite an extensive interview with The Hollywood Reporter about his burgeoning carer, and it was revealed that he is signed for 6 Marvel movies as Peter Parker. It was also discovered that this iteration of Spidey won't be punching people. What will he be doing instead? Dancing, of course. And that news might send shivers down the spine of anyone who hated Sam Raimi's much maligned sequel Spider-Man 3.

As many know, Sam Raimi had Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker engage in a somewhat hilarious dance sequence. And it took a lot of audience members out of the movie. Though, over the years, many fans have since praised this scene for its uniqueness and originality in the superhero genre. It was a moment used to magnify the overconfident Peter, who is still truly a big nerd at heart.

Early set videos from the Spider-Man: Homecoming set showed gymnast and leading man Tom Holland practicing some cool dance movies. And it immediately started to make a few fans worry. And maybe with good reason. Holland has confirmed that his version of Spider-Man will definitely be busting a few movies. And why not? The title suggests that Peter Parker will be attending his Homecoming dance. Holland has done a lot of dancing in his short career, and he won't stop here. He says this.

"Yes. There is a moment where he dances, and it's so funny. It's not good dancing. The internet has perceived me as this fantastic dancer. I can still do a couple pirouettes, but I am by no means a proper dancer."

Hopefully Tom Holland's dancing is a little more dignified than what Tobey Maguire was asked to do. The next question is, who will Peter Parker be dancing with. For months, fans have speculated that Zendaya is playing Mary Jane Watson, Peter's love interest. Though, just yesterday, the actress strongly hinted that she is not Peter's girlfriend, nor is she playing Mary Jane. Instead, she is listed as a character known only as Michelle, someone not believed to be from existing Spider-Man lore.

Instead, a new report tags Liz Allen as Peter's true love interest in Marvel's Homecoming. Sources close to the set say this character will be played by Laura Harrier. The storyline is said to follow the classic Stan Lee and Steve Ditko comic book arc where Peter harbors a mean crush on Liz. Unfortunately, she is dating schoolyard bully Flash Thompson. That character is being played by Tony Revolori, and the two actors don't really make a good match. Let's be honest.

In the comics, Liz only started to fall for Peter after he was officially dating Betty Brant. It sounds like Homecoming is setting up a new love arc for Parker that is original. And it doesn't sound like Mary Jane Watson or Gwen Stacey will be making an appearance in this first movie at all. Unless they are used as background players with little to do except set up the next two movies in this trilogy, which spans Spidey's entire high school career.
