The idea of a live-action Spy Vs. Spy movie has been around for as long as I can remember, stretching all the way back into the 80s. Now, it seems like this projected, based on MAD Magazine's long running comic strip, might actually become a reality.

Ron Howard has agreed to direct Spy Vs. Spy for producers Brian Grazer, David Koepp, and Warner Bros. John Kamps is writing the screenplay.

The story will revolve around two competing spies who constantly try to one up each other with brutal and sever consequences. Spy Vs. Spy will be a fast-paced action comedy.

Those who have been waiting forever for Spy Vs. Spy to hit the big screen will have to wait a while longer. The movie is the last in a long line of projects that Ron Howard currently has on his slate, which includes the epic three movie, two television seasons long The Dark Tower. It isn't quite clear when we will see Spy Vs. Spy, but it could be as far away as 2016.
