Over the weekend, Paramount released the soundtrack details for their highly-anticipated sequel Star Trek Beyond, which will included a new song entitled "Sledgehammer" from Rihanna. While we don't know when the full song will be released, "Sledgehammer" is featured in the third and finale trailer for Star Trek Beyond, which hits theaters July 22. It isn't known if the artist plans on releasing a music video for this single, or if it will include any of the Star Trek Beyond cast members.

Earlier this month, Zoe Saldana teased that the U.S.S. Enterprise crew is just exhausted when the movie begins, and they need a break. This new trailer, which debuted on YouTube, features footage of the attack on this iconic ship. Kirk (Chris Pine) claims this will be his last mission as Captain of the Starship Enterprise, as we see the ship go down in flames. Kirk gets away in an escape pod, and we see a new Enterprise ship, which may confirm rumors that surfaced a few months ago.

Writer/co-star Simon Pegg teased the presence of an NX ship in a recent interview. On the original TV series, which celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, the U.S.S. Enterprise was an NX-01, although the Enterprise Kirk and his crew have been using in the new movies is the NCC-1701. There has already been concept art released that resembles the NX-01, and with this trailer and previous footage teasing that the NCC-1701 is eventually destroyed, it seems completely possible that the Enterprise crew re-emerges with the NX-01 ship, although we don't know for sure how they come across this vessel.

Star Trek Beyond, the highly anticipated next installment in the globally popular Star Trek franchise, created by Gene Roddenberry and reintroduced by J.J. Abrams in 2009, returns with director Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious franchise) at the helm of this epic voyage of the U.S.S. Enterprise and her intrepid crew. In Beyond, the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test. In addition to this trailer, we also have a new photo of Jaylah, portrayed by Sofia Boutella.

The cast and crew are still in mourning, after the tragic death of actor Anton Yelchin, who has portrayed Chekov in all three of the new movies. The sequel hits theaters July 22, going up against Warner Bros.' thriller Lights Out, so we'll have to wait and see how the cast and crew plan on paying tribute to their beloved cast member as we get closer to the release date. Until then, take a look at the latest footage from Star Trek Beyond below, along with a new photo of Jaylah.
