Celebrities got in on the fun of watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens this weekend, some enjoying it more than fans. Despite some theaters' rules and regulations regarding costumes and prop weapons, that didn't stop some big names from showing up to share their Star Wars love decked out in the galaxy's hottest looks. As predicted, the response to the movie has been overwhelming. Records are breaking left and right. And even the President of the United States cut his press conference short to make it to his screening on time.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered this past Monday, and of course celebrities showed up in droves. While costumes, face paint and plastic toy lightsabers were all banned from the party, that didn't stop Joseph Gordon-Levitt from breaking the rules. He donned green face paint for a DIY Master Yoda outfit. And while it is a little on the scary side, it turned out to be a big hit.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt wasn't the only celebrity who showed up to the premiere showering the film with expressionistic love. Former The Office star Rainn Wilson arrived dressed as an ancient Jedi. He was accompanied by his son, who wore the bounty hunter fatigues of iconic character Boba Fett. No one dared confiscate their weapons.

A wide range of celebrities have been showing off their Star Wars: The Force Awakens costumes as they head off to screenings throughout the weekend. UFC champion Ronda Rousey showed up at her theater dressed as a Stormtrooper. She was accompanied by Boba Fett and Darth Maul. Suicide Squad star Cara Delevingne, who plays Enchantress in that DC Comics adventure, decided to show off her less charming side dressed as Jabba the Hutt.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg even got in on the fun. He shared an image of his newborn daughter dressed up as a baby Jedi. And he even made his Hungarian sheepdog Beast participate, giving the pooch his own Sith lightsaber. We're sure to see even more celebrities having fun as the weekend rolls on. It sounds like everyone on the planet is seeing the movie. Have you seen it yet? Did you dress up? If so, share your story in the comment section below.
