Star Wars: The Force Awakens fans were finally able to purchase new merchandise over the long weekend, which kicked off with Force Friday. A number of these items were revealed during the live unboxing event last Thursday, but today we have new artwork from even more merchandise, which gives us a better look at some of the new characters. If that wasn't enough, LEGO has unveiled seven brief animated videos that showcase their new playsets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The images come courtesy of the French website Les Toiles Heroiques, with the first poster featuring several characters such as Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), R2-D2 (Kenny Baker), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and the new ball droid BB-8. We also get a look at the First Order Stormtroopers, plus a calendar image that features all of the aforementioned characters, along with Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). Unfortunately, these images do not feature any of the returning main trio of Star Wars characters.

We have only gotten brief glimpses of Harrison Ford's Han Solo and Carrie Fisher in the previously-released trailers and the behind-the-scenes video that debuted at Comic-Con, but we still haven't seen any official photo or video footage of Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. Director J.J. Abrams revealed at Comic-Con that the new trailer will debut sometime this fall, but we still don't have an exact premiere date at this time. Now that Force Friday is behind us, hopefully we'll find out more about this highly-anticipated trailer in the days and weeks to follow.

In related news, LEGO has debuted seven new animated videos that showcase their new playsets from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which are all available for purchase through the LEGO website. These playsets include Rey's Speeder, First Order Snowspeeder, Poe's X-Wing Fighter, First Order Special Forces Tie Fighter, First Order Transporter, Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and the iconic Millennium Falcon. These animated videos show the toys in action, but it isn't known if these brief scenes depict any actual footage fans will see when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18.

Along with the artwork and videos, we also have new images from Topps trading cards, which you can check out below. There will surely be plenty more merchandise for Star Wars: The Force Awakens that will be unveiled over the next three months, so be sure to stay tuned for all the latest details. In the meantime, let us know what you think about these images and videos for the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
