Earlier today, Walt Disney Pictures announced that the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut during halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football on Monday, October 19. As it turns out, Canadian network CTV has revealed a brief trailer preview that aired this morning, after the official announcement was made. The footage shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) and the ball droid BB-8 watching a slew of TIE Fighters and other ships flying overhead.

Walt Disney Studios Canada also released a brief preview with more footage. Lucasfilm has also released the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster worldwide earlier today. Following the trailer launch, tickets to the highly anticipated cinematic event will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold. In conjunction with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debut, the Walt Disney Company is providing unprecedented company-wide on-air and social support (#TheForceAwakens) as well as tying in events and special activities for the day of the trailer release.

Tickets for the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens will also go on sale tomorrow for showings in theaters across the globe. LucasFilm also confirmed a Star Wars Marathon Event, where theaters will be playing all seven movies. The Star Wars Marathon Event is the ultimate fan experience. All seven movies. One epic journey. Guests will see each of the six previously released Star Wars episodes in digital 2D beginning with Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and concluding with the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3D! Visit StarWars.com to take a look at the full list of participating Star Wars Marathon Event Theatres, and then take a look at the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster below. Be sure to check back tomorrow for the highly-anticipated trailer.

It's possible we could get our first glimpse of Rey flying the Millennium Falcon in the third trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which arrives tomorrow. A new trading card image that surfaced last week showed Rey sitting in the Millennium Falcon cockpit with Chewbacca, sparking rumors that she may actually be flying this iconic ship. There have also been rumors that Rey may be Han Solo's daughter, especially since the character's surname has yet to be revealed. Director J.J. Abrams has already said there is a reason why we don't know Rey and Finn's last names yet, which will most likely be revealed when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18.

Disney and LucasFilm still haven't revealed a full synopsis for Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet, but producer Kathleen Kennedy confirmed earlier this month that this movie, and the sequels Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX will follow Luke Skywalker's family. It isn't known which of the new characters who will be introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens are part of Luke Skywalker's family, but hopefully we'll have more details soon. Since we still haven't seen Luke Skywalker in any footage yet, many fans are hoping we get our first look at this beloved character in tomorrow's trailer, but we'll have to wait and see. While we wait for the trailer debut tomorrow night, check out these brief previews below.
