Today is Star Wars Day, and the celebration wouldn't be complete without a juicy Star Wars: Episode VIII rumor. While we've heard some reasonable and some very outlandish plot twists for the next chapter in Luke Skywalker's family saga, this latest bit of intel sounds quite plausible. And very badass to boot. If we're to believe these latest story details, Master Jedi Skywalker has the ability to do some amazing things with his mind.

A few weeks ago, a rumor landed claiming Ach-To is the site of the very first Jedi Temple. The planet is where Luke Skywalker has been hiding, which we see in the final moment of The Force Awakens as Rey delivers her once and future master his old lightsaber. It was also rumored that one of the First Order members from Star Wars 7 will be making an appearance on the planet. That character has now been revealed to be none other than Kylo Ren. And apparently he's going to get a big taste of Luke's Jedi powers. There will be no cross-blade saber's through this old man's heart. Says the Reddit source about a scene recently shot on set.

A few weeks ago they blew up, specifically, blew apart, an Ahch-To hut. According to my source, Kylo and Rey have a conversation that Luke does not like. Luke tries to stop them. Luke gets angry...And the whole hut they are in disintegrates (re: 'blows up'). My source did not specify as to the exact cause of the disintegration, but based on the info I believe Luke accidentally (or perhaps even purposely) does so using the Force."

The source goes onto claim that his story spoiler probably won't be confirmed until the movie is in theaters next Christmas. But this actually sounds like a very cool moment that might be used in a trailer, if it is true. The source then goes onto tease a future reveal, claiming that a returning character from Star Wars 7 will receive the 'Skywalker Special'. We're not quite sure what this means.

While no one directly involved with the production of Star Wars 8 is going to come right out and confirm this rumor, it is true that Luke Skywalker has a much more substantial role in this next sequel. In The Force Awakens, he received nearly one minute of screen time. Next time out, his screen time will be comparable to Han Solo in The Force Awakens. He may even be a bigger part of the ongoing story, and is also expected to return in Star Wars Episode IX.
