With Star Wars: The Force Awakens in post-production and filming starting later this year on the first Star Wars spinoff Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, Disney and LucasFilm are currently prepping their second anthology movie. The project is currently without a director, after Josh Trank (Fantastic Four) stepped away last month, but we haven't heard anything about his potential replacement yet. Today we have a new, unconfirmed report that both Jon Favreau and Matthew Vaughn are circling the Star Wars Anthology: Boba Fett Movie.

We have reported in the past that this spinoff will give fans an origin story to the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett, which was never confirmed, but this new unconfirmed report also reveals that both Boba Fett and Han Solo will be the main focus of this story. If this new rumor is accurate, the plot will show fans the longtime conflict that was only hinted at during the original Star Wars trilogy. The rumor also reveals that the story will include characters such as Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian and Bossk. The story is said to take place between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

The report also reveals that the third Star Wars will be "mythological and spiritual" based and may even give fans a long-awaited origin story for Yoda. Of course, none of the above details have been confirmed, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more details come in. Do you think Jon Favreau and Matthew Vaughn would be perfect to tackle this Star Wars anthology movie with Boba Fett and Han Solo?
