As shooting continues in the U.K. on Star Wars: Episode VIII, it remains to be seen if the production will have any surprises up its sleeve for Star Wars Day (May the 4th) tomorrow. To get ready for the big day, Daisy Ridley has sent out a new video greeting, along with BB-8 and a few alien friends, to wish fans around the world a very happy Star Wars Day, and to thank everyone for donating to the new Star Wars: Force For Change campaign. Tomorrow marks the last day fans can donate to the Force For Change charitable initiative, where you can win an amazing grand prize.

After raising a whopping $10 million thus far, including a campaign for last year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a new Force For Change was launched last month. Every donation will help four select charities, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Make-A-Wish. Every donor will be eligible for a chance to win a trip to Ireland and visit Skellig Michael, the iconic location of Rey's fateful meeting with Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Over the course of the four-week period, which culminates at 11:59pm (PST) on May 4th, fans will be able to donate through CrowdRise.com/ForceForChange to these four charities and have their donations matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000,000. Fans also got a chance to win special prizes each week. During the first week, the first 20 fans to raise or donate at least $500 won a Blu-ray of Star Wars: The Force Awakens signed by the cast. Other weekly prizes included a Star Wars prize pack including a BB-8 powered by Sphero, signed by J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy and a tour of Lucasfilm in San Francisco, with a screening of any Star Wars movie of their choice.

Star Wars: Episode VIII continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with returning cast members such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John BoyegaOscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis.  New cast members will include Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran. No details for any of the new cast members have been revealed yet, but hopefully we'll hear more about their characters soon.

Writer-director Rian Johnson revealed last week that they have passed the halfway point of principal photography on Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is set for release on December 15, 2017. We'll be sure to keep you posted about any updates that surface during Star Wars Day tomorrow. Until then, check out the new Force For Change video with Daisy Ridley below.
