People love Lego. People love Star Wars. Put them together, and you get utter madness! And that's the only way to describe what is going to happen this Thursday at one minute past Midnight, when stores open their doors for Force Friday. A tsunami of Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise is going to be flooding toy and apparel shelves. And leading the charge will be LEGO. A new commercial has arrived, offering just a taste of what we can expect. And at the center is one very unique X-Wing.

New LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets will allow you to build Poe Dameron's (Oscar Isaac) new black X-Wing. This ship is part of the Resistance, a splinter group of the Rebel Alliance attempting to stop the spread of the First Order across the galaxy. The commercial hints at Poe having to save his ball droid BB-8, which is seen here being chased by First Order stormtroopers on the planet Jakku. The TV spot shouts at the kids watching.

"Load the weapons, climb aboard, open the wings and blast into action! Watch out, It's Kylo Ren! The Force Awakens when you build your own Lego Star Wars sets!"

The most interesting aspect of the LEGO commercial is that BB-8 obviously belongs to Poe Dameron. The droid has somehow become lost on Jakku, drawing the attention of the First Order troops. From the various photos and footage already released, we know that desert scavenger Rey (Daisy Ridley) comes across the droid and collects him for later use. We don't get to see any of that here.

What we do get to see is Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle sweeping into action as he sets off to destroy Poe Dameron. It's a neat little taste of what we'll eventually see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but these toy commercials are never an accurate portrayal of what happens in the movie. They come close, though, as any child of the 70s will attest.

There are quite a few LEGO sets coming on September 4 as part of the Force Friday launch, but they don't contain too many secrets we haven't already learned. Though we have yet to be introduced to some of the characters getting mini-figs. The Millennium Falcon LEGO set not only comes with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Rey, Finn and BB-8, it also comes with a character named Tasu Leech, whose backstory has yet to be revealed. He appears alongside someone called a Kanjuklub Gang Member, but we don't know the Kanjuklub Gang's place in this story.

Force Friday will include a LEGO set for Rey's speeder, which we saw in action in the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser. She comes with an Unkar Henchman. There will also be a First Order Snowspeeder, a First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter, and a First Order Transporter. It isn't known if there are any other sets arriving this coming weekend that we haven't seen. For now, we can watch Poe's black X-Wing as it springs to action to save the beloved droid BB-8. It's pretty exciting, don't you think?
