Fans have been treated to a slew of footage, photos and new details from Star Wars: The Force Awakens over the past few days, including a behind-the-scenes preview and much more. Today, Jo Blo Movie Trailers has uncovered the fourth TV spot with even more new footage, which shows the ship Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) are running towards before it explodes, and another look at the villainous Kylo Ren. This new villain is seen wielding his crossguard lightsaber in this footage, and we also get another look at BB-8

In related news, Entertainment Weekly has a new report that sheds some light on the lovable ball droid BB-8, who was recently rumored to be a female robot. The site spoke with Neil Scanlan, who heads up the creature shop on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, who wouldn't give a concise response as to whether or not BB-8 is male or female. Here's what he had to say below.

"I'm still not sure, dare I say, whether BB-8 is male or female. BB-8 was female in our eyes. And then he or she became male. And that's all part of the evolution, not only visually, but in the way they move, how they hold themselves."

BB-8 was first put on display in the first trailer that was released last November, whose mechanics were quite puzzling to many fans. While most assumed that this robot, whose robotic head swivels atop a rolling ball, was completely created through CGI, but director J.J. Abrams surprised fans at Star Wars Celebration by literally rolling a real, practical version of BB-8 onto the stage. It was later revealed that a company named Sphero collaborated with LucasFilm on the design, and a consumer version of the droid went on sale during Force Friday.

A recent rumor revealed that the lightsaber Finn uses is Luke Skywalker's original lightsaber, which was discovered by a character known as The Vicar, who is rumored to be played by Max von Sydow. This rumor claimed that Poe Dameron, who was sent by the Resistance to investigate the emergence of this Jedi weapon, put the lightsaber inside of BB-8, and that Kylo Ren is searching for it. Neil Scanlan revealed that BB-8 does have secret, hidden panels, but he wouldn't confirm whether or not the lightsaber is placed inside the ball droid.

"We haven't absolutely defined what each panel does. Each has a specific purpose, whether it be a data port, or a docking station, or a welding torch. He might have his own self-defense mechanism. He is indeed. A Swiss Army Knife that shouldn't be trusted."
