While the first Star Wars spinoff, titled Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, seems to be moving along just fine, the second planned Star Wars Anthology movie, long believed to center on bounty hunter Boba Fett, hit a major snag when director Josh Trank exited the project. Not too long after the news was made official, a rumor circulated fast that both Jon Favreau and Matthew Vaughn were wanted for Star Wars Anthology: Boba Fett Movie. But now, one of those names is definitely out of the running. Jon Favreau isn't just saying no to Star Wars Anthology: Boba Fett Movie. He's saying no to all Star Wars movies. The director tweeted his non-involvement last night.

"Not directing any SW eps. Just a fan...Not involved with any SW films. Can't wait to see them, though."

It's easy to see why Jon Favreau may have been considered. He kick-started the Marvel Cinematic Universe by directing the first Iron Man movie in 2008, and the sequel Iron Man 2 in 2010. He also has a great relationship with Disney, and is currently putting the finishing touches on the live action adaptation of their The Jungle Book movie for next spring. Though, he doesn't currently have anything lined up next. Matthew Vaughn, on the other hand, is extremely busy. He's currently writing Kingsman 2, the sequel to this year's extremely successful Kingsman: The Secret Service. He's also mulling over whether or not he will once again direct. He is also planning Hit-Girl as a prequel movie and Kick-Ass 3 at the same time. Though, he doesn't have his next directing gig completely locked down. Will he eventually direct Star Wars Anthology: Boba Fett Movie? We'll have to wait and see.
