With Star Wars: The Force Awakens currently in post-production, Disney and LucasFilm are moving forward with their first Star Wars Spin-Off, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards. Earlier this week, we reported that casting is under way, with actresses such as Kate Mara, her sister Rooney Mara, Felicity Jones and Tatiana Maslany all testing for the female lead. While we still don't know who this character is, exactly, a slew of new rumors have surfaced which reveal more possible details about the story. Earlier rumors suggested that the spinoff will focus on the bounty hunter Boba Fett, while a rumor from last month indicated the story centers on space pirates, one of which is a young Han Solo. Today, a new unconfirmed report from Latino Review reveals that both Boba Fett and Han Solo will be featured in this untitled spinoff.

Earlier rumors revealed that Han Solo and these space pirates team up to steal plans for the first Death Star, but, as Latino Review points out, that may not make sense, since Han doesn't recognize the Death Star in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, and this spinoff is reportedly set before that adventure. There is speculation that the story revolves around the relationships between Han, Boba and the other criminals, which Latino Review believes are The Hutts, since they tie into the "Fett v. Solo" story. The site also speculates that this Han Solo/Boba Fett adventure could be used to kick off a new series of Star Wars movies.

Making Star Wars also reports that the Star Wars Spin-Off will be shot in Mexico, and that "bounty hunters are important to the film." Crew members are also expected to redress some of the sets from Star Wars: The Force Awakens to use in the spinoff, which will reportedly shoot under the code name "Los Alamos." Los Alamos is the town in New Mexico where the Manhattan Project was started, where the first nuclear weapons were built, which could surely be a subtle reference to the Death Star plans that may or may not be sought after in the spinoff. There is speculation that the Mexico location could be used for the planet Geonosis, which is where the plans for the Death Star were created. It should also be noted that Geonosis is also where the body of Jango Fett, Boba Fett's father, still lies, which could certainly tie into the story if Boba Fett is in fact involved.

Of course, none of these details have been confirmed at this point, and it remains to be seen how long it will be until Disney and LucasFilm release any official details about the Star Wars Spin-Off. What do you think about all of this new information? Are you excited to see Han Solo and Boba
