Tomorrow is Star Wars Day at Comic-Con, an annual San Diego tradition. But this year is going to be different. For the first time in a decade, a new Star Wars movie will be on display as various cast members arrive in support of this December's Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We're also expected to hear more about the first spinoff Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. But before that happens, we have an unconfirmed rumor direct from Bloody Disgusting. They claim to know who the villain is. And he's bringing some very famous friends along for this ride.

The story of Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One revolves around a group of Rebel soldiers stealing plans to the Death Star in what is essentially a prequel to Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Ben Mendelsohn has long been rumored to play the main villain, though neither the actor nor Disney and Lucasfilm will confirm that. And just this week, it was rumored that Darth Vader will have a strong presence in the storyline. Now comes word on just who it is Ben Mendelsohn is playing, and who his character is paying. The report states the following.

"Ben Mendelsohn's new Moff character is indeed the big baddie of Rogue One. The other main villains of the piece are bounty hunters hired by the Moff to quietly retrieve the stolen Death Star plans at all costs. Vader factors in once he realizes that the plans have been stolen, so he joins the hunt in a supporting role and is none too pleased. These bounty hunters include Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4LOM, IG-88, and Cad Bane, who is from 'Clone Wars' and is making his live action debut. There might some new ones as well, but that's the core group. So Fett will absolutely appear on screen again in a semi-main role before his solo film."

This is interesting in that Boba Fett has long been rumored for his own Anthology spinoff, which many thought would be the film to follow Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, releasing in 2016. But it will instead be Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo Movie that comes next, and the official press release from Lucasfilm and Disney did not mention Boba Fett at all. So, is Boba Fett still getting his own movie? Or is Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One the Boba Fett movie that has been rumored all along? It was reported early in the year that Disney and Lucasfilm were having a hard time breaking the story for a standalone Boba Fett movie. Did they decide, like the Hulk, that this character works better in an ensemble?

It is also noted that a Wookie bounty hunter may be added to the mix, no relation to Chewbacca. That, like the rest of this story, has not been confirmed by anyone actually associated with the movie. Perhaps we'll learn more when Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy, director J.J. Abrams, writer Lawrence Kasdan, and special guests hit the Hall H stage tomorrow morning.
