Stranger Things was one of the biggest things to make its way into the pop culture landscape this year and that was largely due to the incredible cast of mostly unknown child stars. If there was one breakout though, it was Millie Bobby Brown, who played the Eggo loving Eleven on the show. She already has her sights set on bigger things as she recently revealed she would like to take on a pretty iconic role in a future Star Wars movie.

The actress recently appeared at Rhode Island Comic Con and was asked about what kind of roles she would like to do in the future. Millie Bobby Brown responded, saying that she would like to play a young Princess Leia in a future Star Wars movie. Here is what she had to say.

"Princess Leia. If they made - I think they are making another Star Wars - I would love a role like that. Because I want to do something far from Eleven or Madison."

Disney and Lucasfilm are indeed making another Star Wars movie. Quite a few in fact. At the moment none of those movies seem to call for a younger person to step in and take on the role that Carrie Fisher originally brought to life. With that said, it is very easy to imagine a young Princess Leia showing up in a Star Wars movie at some point, since the early portion of her life prior to the events of Star Wars: A New Hope is mostly a mystery. Outside of her willingness to do it, Millie Bobby Brown would probably be a very popular choice for the role.

During her answer, the Stranger Things star also revealed that she desperately wants to play a role on The Walking Dead at some point. That seems slightly more realistic at the immediate moment, but looking forward a bit, why not have her play Princess Leia? It isn't something that would happen anytime soon, as Disney's current slate of Star Wars movies are mapped out through 2020. That would give Millie Bobby Brown plenty of time to wrap up Stranger Things season 2 and any other future seasons of the show as well as a few other projects before jumping into something on that scale.

This is all speculative. Just because she said she would like to do it doesn't mean that Disney is going to beat down her door and make it happen but it seems like a good idea on paper anyway. We will next see Princess Leia as portrayed by Carrie Fisher in Star Wars Episode VIII on December 15, 2017.
