Last week, Warner Bros. launched their new initiative Blue Ribbon Content, which will produce digital series' for the studio, one of which is Static Shock. Flickering Myth is now reporting that Jaden Smith is reportedly being eyed to play the electric superhero.

The actor's parents already have established relationships with Warner Bros. and DC, with his mother Jada Pinkett Smith playing gangster Fish Mooney on Fox and WB's Gotham, and his father Will Smith reportedly in talks to star in the studio's superhero ensemble Suicide Squad. It isn't known if Warner Bros. has officially offered the role to Jaden Smith at this time.

Reginald Hudlin (Django Unchained) is producing the digital series, which centers on the African-American superhero Virgil Ovid Hawkins, a teenager who can manipulate and create electricity. No official story details have been released for the series, and it isn't known when production may begin.

Jaden Smith most recently starred in After Earth, alongside his father Will Smith. He is also slated to return in the sequel The Karate Kid 2, but it isn't known when shooting may begin.
