Actor Steve Carell could be lining up his first big film project after he leaves The Office with the long-gestating comedy Burt Wonderstone, according to Variety.

The movie is set in Las Vegas and centers on a popular magic act. When one member of this two-man team dies while performing a risky stunt, the other must find a way to rekindle his love for the magical arts.

The project started when New Line purchased Chad Kultgen's spec script in 2006. John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein wrote the most recent draft of Burt Wonderstone.

A director hasn't been attached to the project as of yet, and it wasn't clear when this movie might go into production.
