A few weeks ago, The CW Network aired a half-hour special entitled DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, which was hosted by director Kevin Smith and DC's Geoff Johns. The special featured the second trailer for the highly-anticipated Suicide Squad, which stars Margot Robbie as the iconic comic book character Harley Quinn. As many fans know, Kevin Smith named his own daughter Harley Quinn Smith after this character, and the director revealed he gave his daughter the actual bat Margot Robbie used in Suicide Squad.

"The folks at @warnerbrosentertainment gave me the #harleyquinn bat from @suicidesquadmovie as a thanks for hosting the #dawnofjustice special on @thecw. I gave it to my daughter @harleyquinnnn_ before we left for #Sundance last week. Asked 'You know what a totem is? It's a powerful, mystical object that wards off evil and gives the bearer strength and power. Before you begin your journey where I started my adventure 22 years ago, I wanted to present you with this powerful totem.' She opened the tube to discover the bat and immediately started bawling. Harley cried tears of joy for the next 2 hours. Like her old man, the kid goes to pieces over this comic book stuff. It's not just in her name, it's in her DNA. Regardless, I've never seen anybody so overjoyed to receive a gift. Thank you, @wbpictures & @geoffjohnsdc - you made me look like the most amazing Dad on the planet to a happy-weepy teenage girl! #harleyquinnsmith #kevinsmith #suicidesquad #davidayer #margotrobbie #warnerbros #dccomics #YogaHosers"

Harley Quinn Smith actually stars in the director's new film Yoga Hosers, which had its world premiere at Sundance earlier this month, and she will also star in her father's next film, Moose Jaws. She also had a small role in Tusk, which was the first film in the director's True North Trilogy. Much like her father, it seems young Harley Quinn Smith is just as big of a comic book fan.

Margot Robbie will be joined by a stellar cast in Suicide Squad, including Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Jared Leto (The Joker), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) and Viola Davis (Amanada Waller). The project also reunites the actress with her Focus co-star Will Smith. The superhero adventure will hit theaters August 5.

The supporting cast of Suicide Squad also includes Scott Eastwood, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Adam Beach, with Ben Affleck also set to reprise his Batman v Superman role as The Dark Knight. David Ayer is directing Suicide Squad from his own script. What do you think about these new Suicide Squad details? Chime in with your thoughts, and stay tuned for more on Suicide Squad.
