Last year, actress Cara Delevingne shed some light on her unusual audition process for writer-director David Ayer before she won the role of Enchantress in Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad. Since there wasn't a completed script yet, the filmmaker asked her to read lines from Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, with so many variations that it "sparked a f---ing fury" inside of her. Apparently, that fury is just what the director was looking for, since she won the role, but now the actress shared even more details about what happened after that unique audition.

Cara Delevingne was best known for her work in the modeling world, before making her feature film debut in 2012's Anna Karenina. She went on to star in Face of an Angel and last year's Paper Towns and Pan, but her work in Suicide Squad may just make her a household name, like the rest of her co-stars such as Will Smith and Jared Leto. During an interview with W Magazine, the actress talked about her first meetings with David Ayer, and the strange thing he asked her to do, after she had won the role.

"I met the director, David Ayer, at a hotel in London on a dark and stormy night. He didn't tell me anything about the movie. Instead, he showed me pictures of these amazing, enlightened, powerful, but very evil women. He spoke to me about addiction and mental illness, which are things I find very, very interesting. The next time I met David was at his house in L.A. He asked me to read a scene from Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I love that play and had acted in it at school when I was 17, so I was excited. Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid. I hadn't felt rage like that in years. And then I got the part! There still wasn't a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn't a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me."

While we don't know exactly why the director asked his actress to walk naked through the woods, it's highly unlikely that anyone actually saw her. The actress revealed that her naked stroll through the woods was actually on the property of her sister Chloe's country house in the Southeast corner of England. It's worth noting that, in the first Suicide Squad trailer, we did catch a brief glimpse of Enchantress immersed in a pond of black water in the woods, so it's possible the actress' bizarre task may be related to that scene.

It has also been reported that the actress is actually playing two different roles, which she described in July as "a mousy scientist and then a crazy, feral witch." The first trailer featured a shot of the scientist before her transformation into Enchantress, where she's seen exploring a cave. Many have speculated that she turns into Enchantress during an encounter in this cave, but we don't know for sure. Stay tuned for more on Suicide Squad as we get closer and closer to the August 5 release date.
