Warner Bros.' DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad has brought on Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to play Killer Croc. Karen Fukuhara has also joined the cast in an unspecified role. The news comes just a few days after we reported that Scott Eastwood and Ray Olubowale joined the cast, with the actors reportedly playing Wonder Woman's boyfriend Steve Trevor and King Shark, respectively.

Killer Croc, whose real name is Waylon Jones, first appeared in Batman #357 in March 1983, as one of Batman's enemies. Waylon was born with a medical condition that causes him to look more and more like a crocodile as he ages. In the DC Comics, Killer Croc was known for killing the parents of Jason Todd, which helped set him on the path to becoming Batman's new Robin. While we have no confirmed details about how Killer Croc fits into the Suicide Squad story, early rumors suggested that he is one of the inmates in a lower level of Amanda Waller's (Viola Davis) prison, reserved for prisoners with super-human powers.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins a cast that also includes Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (The Joker), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress}. David Ayer is directing from his own screenplay, with production scheduled to begin next month in Toronto. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje played the dual role of Algrim and Kurse in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World, and he most recently starred in Pompeii and Annie.
