Earlier this month, Warner Bros. officially announced that their Hall H panel at Comic-Con would include Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Pan and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Of course, everyone knew there would likely be some big surprise in store for fans, and the studio didn't disappoint, bringing out director David Ayer from Suicide Squad. Production is still under way in Toronto, but the filmmaker revealed that he just had to swing by.

"We were shooting last night in Toronto but we had to come down to report in to Hall H because you guys run this s-t! We're making this movie for you, right here. It's all about canon, it's all about being faithful to the source material. You guys know who you are, and know what you want, and you're going to get it with this show. All this good vs. evil s--t is kind of played out. It's time for bad vs. evil. It's time for a movie about bad guys! Who's got the best bad guys out there? DC Comics, the best villains. Now, I'm not trying to start a East Coast-West Coast feud with Marvel Comics, but someone has to say the truth."

The filmmaker then showed the enthusiastic crowd the first footage from this superhero movie, and we have a description of this teaser below.

The scene starts with Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) sitting at a dinner table with a man, who tells her, "I have the worst of the worst." Waller says she "put them in a hole and threw away the hole," saying she wants to create, "A task force of the most dangerous people on the planet who can do some good." She adds, "If anything goes wrong, we have built in deniability." The man asks "what makes you think you can control them?".Waller responds with, "Because getting people for my own self-interests is what I do for a living." We then see a montage with Harley Quinn hanging upside down in her cell, when she sees Amanda Waller standing on the catwalk above her cell, with Harley Quinn asking "Are you the Devil?" Waller replies, "All you need to know is you work for me." We then see Deadshot hitting a punching bag, Killer Croc strapped to a gurney, Deadshot grappling down a building and Enchantress sitting in a pool. Deadshot calls themselves the Suicide Squad as the team forms in the street. We then see another montage with Harley holding her bat like a shotgun, The Joker walking down a hallway. Harley strangling a guard, Batman riding atop the Joker's car, with Harley quipping, "I hope you've got insurance. Boomerang says "And they say we're the crazy ones," before we get our first real look at The Joker, who says, "I'm not gonna kill ya. I'm just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad," with an incredibly menacing look in his eyes, as the footage comes to a close.

David Ayer then returned to introduce the cast members, Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Viola Davis, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Will Smith (Deadshot), with Jared Leto the only main cast member not present. Before leaving, Will Smith addressed the Hall H crowd.

"We are banging out something that is absolutely fantastic. We'll see y'all next year!"

With that, the Suicide Squad portion of the panel came to a close, but we also have a few photos and videos that feature these super villains all assembled at SDCC. We also the footage shown during the panel, and we'll surely keep you posted if anything else surfaces. In the meantime, check out the photos and videos from today's panel.
