Jessica Biel and Rachel McAdams are front runners to play Lois Lane in Superman
After the big news on Sunday that Henry Cavill is the new Man of Steel in Zack Snyder's Superman, the next major role to be cast is Lois Lane. It seems a number of high-profile actresses have already read or will read for the role, including Jessica Biel, Kristen Stewart, Malin Akerman, Rachel McAdams and Dianna Agron.

Among those actresses, Jessica Biel is one of the front runners along with Rachel McAdams. Dianna Agron might be too young for the part, while the 32-year-old Malin Akerman might be considered too old when appearing alongside the 27-year-old Henry Cavill. Kristen Stewart is said to be entertaining a number of other offers besides Superman, and may be an unlikely candidate as well.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Kristen Bell were mentioned in the casting round-up, thought their involvement isn't completely clear at this time.

Zack Snyder is directing Superman from a script by David S. Goyer, which is based on a story created by David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan.
