The kid is so green; we don't even have him in our database yet! Richmond, Virginia native Cooper Timberline has been handpicked by director Zack Snyder to play young Clark Kent, the boy who grows up to be Superman, in Warner Bros. upcoming DC Comics reboot Superman: Man of Steel.

The actor was cast in June, and, even at the age of eleven, has already become a veteran of the stage, taking on many roles in and around Richmond where he is well known within the theater community.

Hoping to be more than just a flash in the pan with his one role as young Clark Kent, Cooper Timberline has already used this role to springboard himself into his next high profile project, Of Men and Mavericks, where he will play the young version of real-life surfer Jay Moriarty, a role being play in his later years by Jonny Weston. That biopic also stars Gerard Butler and Elisabeth Shue.
