This past summer, Superman: Man of Steel was filming in rural Illinois, which was transformed into picturesque Smallville for this superhero tale. Earlier today, a Superman fan spotted an eBay listing for a Superman: Man of Steel prop, a piece of siding from the Kent farmhouse during production in Oswego, Illinois. Curiously, the listing also included a never-before-seen painting of Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel in action. Take a look at the image below, and you can read the description of the item from eBay seller "devil*may*cry."

Superman: Man of Steel Henry Cavil photo

"Piece of Clark Kent's family house in Smallville Kansas (aka Oswego IL)

Extremely rare piece of Superman coming to the screens in 2013. This is a piece of siding off the Kent farm house knocked off by General Zod during a fight I was told. This is painted the main color of the house (now destroyed) and is in the original condition from when I picked it off the ground several months ago. The picture is of the house being pulled down after filming.

I trailed the filiming for some 2 months and these are some of the very few items I was given or were thrown away after filming. These are authentic items and I believe the movie will be HUGE on release and there will be almost no items available.

Comes with a coa from myself Shipping and handling is $13.99 in the U.S. plus insurance Screen captures are for display only. No zero feedback bids please. A bid is a legal contract. Payment MUST be made within 5 days of winning bid. Shipping to the rest of the world must be tracked and obviously will cost LOTS MORE!

Watch out for more prop and costume auctions coming soon!"

Bidding has ended on the item, but since there were no bids, this may pop up again soon. It isnt' clear where "devil*may*cry" obtained this photo, but it certainly is a unique look at the Man of Steel in action.
