Spoilers are almost impossible to avoid these days, with social media often the culprit to reveal them. Well, this is another one of those situations, as a recent TikTok video has seemingly revealed the return of a Marvel character who many believed was now dead and gone. We do what we can, so be warned there are SPOILERS for Eternals to follow.

This newest Marvel spoiler comes courtesy of Emmy Kennard, known on social media as emmytriggerzzz on social media, who is the sister of Joe Kennard. Though you may not recognize that name, Joe Kennard is the stuntman for Richard Madden, who recently joined the MCU as the Eternal, Ikaris. Though the character seemingly perished during the finale of Eternals, it looks like Emmy Kennard has revealed otherwise saying, "When your brother is a stunt double and his next job is a character coming back into the MCU."

Of course, Joe Kennard could be on board to perform the stunts as a different Marvel character long-though deceased, but since he has doubled as Richard Madden on more than one occasion, the smart money would be on the idea that Ikaris somehow survived flying directly into the sun at the end of Eternals. Bearing in mind that the race of Eternals are far from human, there are several ways in which Ikaris could be resurrected in a future Marvel project, with cosmic adventures The Marvels, Secret Invasion, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being solid guesses, as well as the multiversal events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Eternals introduces a whole new side to the already vast Marvel Cinematic Universe, picking up following the events of 2019's comic book blockbuster event, Avengers: Endgame. Enter the Eternals, a species of immortal aliens from a distant planet who arrived on earth thousands of years ago and have been protecting humans since the dawn of time. Created by the Celestials, a race of powerful extraterrestrial cosmic beings who have secretly lived on Earth for over 7000 years, the Eternals must reunite to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.

Directed by Chloé Zhao, who wrote the screenplay with Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo, and Kaz Firpo, Eternals stars a stellar ensemble cast including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. Despite all of the talent at hand, critics did not take too kindly to Eternals, with the movie currently the only MCU installment to hold a “rotten” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Sitting at 47%, the general consensus reads, “An ambitious superhero epic that soars as often as it strains, Eternals takes the MCU in intriguing -- and occasionally confounding -- new directions.” Eternals was received more favorably by audiences, with the movie sitting at a much more respectable 78%.

Eternals began streaming on Disney+ on January 12, 2022.
