According to Variety, Susan Sarandon and Ralph Fiennes are in final negotiations to star in Bob Balaban's Doris and Bernard from Gotham's Trigger Street Independent and U.K.-based Little Bird Prods.
The indie pic tells the story of tobacco billionairness Doris Duke and her butler.
The script was penned by Hugh Costello, with lensing set to begin in New York in October.
It will focus on the latter part of Duke's life and her relationship with her gay Irish butler, Bernard Lafferty, to whom she left her entire fortune.
