Earlier today, the Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome trailer was released, which gave some fans hope we would eventually see this series come to fruition. However, Syfy has decided to not order Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome as a TV series, but plans to develop it as a digital web series. Take a look at the trailer which was released today, along with the statement from Syfy president Mark Stern

"Though the vision for "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" has evolved over the course of the past year, our enthusiasm for this ambitious project has not waned. We are actively pursuing it as was originally intended: a groundbreaking digital series that will launch to audiences beyond the scope of a television screen. The 90-minute pilot movie will air on Syfy in its entirety at a future date."

Syfy ordered the Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome pilot back in October 2010, although the pilot was not completed until last November. Luke Pasqualino stars as a young William Adama in the pilot, which takes place during the 10th year of the Cylon War.
