Taylor Hackford is planning to direct Good Luck, Mr. Anthony for Disney. The fact-based film revolves around a South African game preserve owner that snuck into the Baghdad Zoo during the Iraqi War to free the animals left there.

Written by Aryman Bernstein and Terry Jastrow, the story centers on Thula Thula game preserve operator Lawrence Anthony. Watching the invasion of Iraq on TV, he remembered that zoo animals are usually killed or die of neglect whenever a war begins. So he decided to travel to the country of Iraq and save those zoo animals.

When Anthony finally found the zoo, nearly half of the 1,000 animals had already died. According to Variety, he then engaged mercenaries to battle both insurgents and poachers to keep the rest of the animals alive.

The film doesn't yet have a set start date.
