Following Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' box office success this weekend, Paramount Pictures quickly announced yesterday that a sequel is coming in 2016. Naturally, fans have already been wondering what Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will focus on. During an interview with Screenrant, director Jonathan Liebesman was asked if he would consider bringing Dimension X into the sequel. Here's what he had to say.

"Dimension X? F*ck yes. I would love to. I mean it's not up to me. It's up to all of us to decide."

In the comic books Dimension X was the home planet of the villainous Krang, before he was banished. He set up shop on Earth after stealing the massive mobile fortress known as The Technodrome, and teamed up with Shredder. The Technodrome also serves as a portal between Earth and Dimension X, so it's possible that could be explored more in the sequel.

Producer Andrew Form also revealed that earlier scripts for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles featured Dimension X.

"There are scripts that have been written for this movie that integrated those worlds into it already..."

However, Jonathan Liebesman added that Dimension X was eventually discarded.

"They were just too...it made the movie a bit too unfocused for this particular story."
