Last week, The Street posted a rundown of a Viacom earnings call, where Paramount Pictures' parent company revealed that principal photography has wrapped on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. It isn't known when exactly filming wrapped, but we haven't seen any photos from the set since late June, when we saw the motorcycles ridden by Bebop and Rocksteady (Gary Anthony Williams and Stephen Farrelly). Production started back in April in New York City, under the direction of Dave Green (Earth to Echo).

Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox (April O'Neil), Will Arnett (Vern Fenwick), William Fichtner (Eric Sacks) and the Ninja Turtles themselves, Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo) and Jeremy Howard (Donatello) reprise their roles in this action sequel. New cast members include Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio playing herself, the love interest of Vern Fenwick, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee as the new Shredder, Brittany Ishibashi as Karai and Laura Linney in an unspecified role. It isn't known at this time if voice actors Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub will return to voice Leonardo and Splinter.

Dave Green directs from a script by André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum. The screenwriters wrote the script for last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which took in $485 million worldwide from a $125 million budget. Very little is known about the story at this point, although many fans were pleased about the inclusion of fan-favorite characters Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady. There has also been a rumor that the sequel will feature a live-action version of Krang, a villain created for the original animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set for release on June 3, 2016, putting it up against the Warner Bros. romance Me Before You, starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, and Universal's Top Secret Untitled Lonely Island Movie, which stars Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer. Now that principal photography has been completed, fans begin the long wait for the first trailer, poster and photos. It isn't clear when we may see the first footage or images yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we have word regarding their arrival.

With the introduction of Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady, this will surely bring in even more fans who are familiar with these characters from the original animated series. Do you think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has a chance to best its predecessor at the box office? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more on this highly-anticipated sequel.
