"You can't do a Terminator without Arnold (Schwarzenegger). You just can't." Fans around the world would likely agree with that statement from Emilia Clarke, from our exclusive Terminator Genisys preview. The action-packed sequel debuts on Digital HD today, October 20, before arriving on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD from Paramount Home Media Distribution.

This sequel marks Arnold's return to the franchise after the much-maligned Terminator Salvation, which was in production during the actor's stint as Governor of California. He returns as the iconic T-800 in Terminator Genisys, but with a unique twist: he has actually served as Sarah Connor's (Emilia Clarke) "guardian" for several years, as unexpected events have altered the past and threaten the future for all mankind. In the war of man against machine, Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent back to 1984 by resistance leader John Connor (Jason Clarke) to protect his young mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke). Now Reese must join forces with Sarah and her "Guardian" (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to save the world and stop the next evolution of Terminators.

The Terminator Genisys Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray Combo Packs with Digital HD include nearly an hour of bonus content, featuring behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and filmmakers, including the director of the first two films, James Cameron. Plus, take an in-depth look at the stunning visual effects and jaw-dropping action sequences, the recreation of iconic scenes from the original film, and more. The Blu-ray Combo Packs also feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, which delivers captivating sound that places and moves audio anywhere in the room, including overhead, to bring entertainment alive all around the audience.

Long before Terminator Genisys hit theaters, Paramount had set release dates for Terminator Genisys 2 and Terminator Genisys 3 for 2017 and 2018. There had been rumors that the sequels were canceled entirely, since the film underperformed at the domestic box office, taking in just $89.7 million. However, the action-thriller has gone on to become a big hit internationally, with a worldwide total of $440.1 million, and Skydance's Dana Goldberg confirmed earlier this month that the sequels are still happening, although adjustments will be made.

While we wait for more news on the sequel, check out our exclusive preview where stars Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese), J.K. Simmons (O'Brien) and Matt Smith (Alex), all discuss the impact Arnold Schwarzenegger had on the cast while production was under way.
