‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Set Photos with Andrew Garfield in Costume

While director Marc Webb has been showing fans a number of unique photos from the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set, we haven't really seen much of the web-slinger himself, Andrew Garfield. Today, a number of photos have surfaced from New York City, which may be the first day they are shooting outside of a studio environment. The actor is seen trying to cover up his suit (or perhaps just stay warm) with a large, hooded trench coat, but we do get a few nice glimpses of his new mask at work. We also see him hanging upside down from a wiring rig out of costume. Check out the latest shots from the set of this upcoming superhero sequel.

By request of the studio, these images have been removed.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released May 2nd, 2014.

I'm bummed they ditched the giant spidey logo from the first...that was one mean looking arachnid.

I didn't say you were the one bitching @ROFLitschristian lol! Just telling you it looks cartoony since it is inspired from the Ultimate and McFarlane depictions of Spider-Man.

@ROFLitschristian This new design resembles a lot of Todd McFarlane's Spider-Man.

And as for everyone else bitching about it looking "too much like Raimi's spider-Man" this is what I have to say: The suit has the exact same layout design as the first Amazing Spider-Man movie had except the web design is more pronounced this time and looks similar to the same web design as Raimi's Spider-Man. That's all.

@the-crow2k They're lifts. Hopefully they won't be [as] noticeable in the movie.

They could've left kept some features of the first costume, but hey... it's the story that counts.

I don't care about the suite as long it looks good, it's the acting, the drama and what takes place. So far this new guy is a dud until he proves himself. Still not sold on him, so far he's talented in talking.

I'm liking the mask. Let's just hope he keeps it on for the majority of the movie this time.

I don't have any gripes about it yet. I like the new eyes. As far as the costume, it's always surprising what they can do in post-production. I think this is going to grab some attention.

wow, I so bummed out about this costume. After such a cool one they went back to one that looks almost exactly like the Raimi one. Only cool thing are the new eyes.

Way to go internet, you ruined a good thing...

It looks like a child's Halloween costume. Not an improvement.
