After securing $144 million domestically and $242 million overseas, DreamWorks Animation is ready to move forward on a sequel to their March hit The Croods.

Chris Sanders and Kirk De Micco, who partnered to write and direct the first outing, will return for The Croods 2, which doesn't yet have a set start date.

The Croods followed the world's first prehistoric road trip, as a family of cavemen set out to find a new home in the shadow of their neighbors' untimely passing. The Croods 2 promises to pick up where the first film left off, continuing the relationship between Guy and Eep, and Eep's father Grug.

The main voice cast is expected to return, including Ryan Reynolds as Guy, Emma Stone as Eep, Nicolas Cage as Grug, Catherine Keener as Ugga, Clark Duke as Thunk and Cloris Leachman as Gran.
