We reported back in February that writer-director Stephen Norrington was still very much attached to an upcoming remake and now it seems the film is moving forward even more. MTV Splash Page spoke with The Crow remake producer Edward Pressman and he said that Norrington has finished the script for the film and they are moving forward with casting.

"[We've got an offer out] to a major actor and things are moving ahead very aggressively, with the aim of doing the film this year," Pressman told MTV News.

Pressman also noted that the setting of the film will be different than the original 1994 film The Crow, with this reboot set to take place in the southwest corner of America.

"The setting is the southwest - the Mexico/Arizona area - and an urban [setting], Detroit or Pittsburgh or something like that," he described. "There are two locations that the film is set. Its initial platform is in the southwest and then it moves to the big city in the north, middle or eastern America, and then back."

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on The Crow remake as soon as we have more information.
