The Equalizer adds Haley BennettHaley Bennett has joined Antoine Fuqua's upcoming action drama The Equalizer.

The film centers on secret agent Robert McCall (Denzel Washington), who finds himself living the easy life working at a local hardware store. His peace is interrupted when an act of kindness to a prostitute (Chloe Moretz) catapults him into a conflict with the Russian mob. Melissa Leo is playing his former supervisor, who now is an informant.

Antoine Fuqua is directing from a script by Richard Wenk. Escape Artists' Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch are producing with Alex Siskin, Mace Neufeld, Tony Eldridge, Michael Sloan, and Denzel Washington.

Production is scheduled to begin this month in Boston with a April 11, 2014 release date being targeted.

The Equalizer was released September 26th, 2014.
