After meeting Detective Eddie Thrawne from The Flash earlier this month, The CW has released a new featurette that introduces fans to Eddie's partner, Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin). Series star Candice Patton, who plays Joe's daughter Iris West, describes her dad as an "overprotective father," while revealing that Iris actually wanted to become a cop before Joe prevented her from doing so. Take a look at the latest footage from CW's Arrow spin-off, which we reported last week is set to debut on Tuesday, October 7 at 8 PM ET on The CW.

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion - and not everyone is using their new powers for good.
