‘The FP’ Blu-ray and DVD Debut June 19th

On June 19th, Image Entertainment invites you to join the stage with The FP, an hilariously insane comedy about a dreaded turf war... with dance! Mixing competitive dance video gaming and gang culture, the off-beat concept was a midnight movie sensation at film festivals around the world leading to its national theatrical release in over 20 markets. Created as a labor of love by a family of filmmakers, The FP is an utterly unique experience. From the producers of the billion dollar Paranormal Activity franchise and released under the prestigious Drafthouse Films label, The FP comes to Blu-ray for an SRP of $29.97 and DVD for an SRP of 27.97. Pre-book is May 22nd. The title will also be available via VOD and digital download. The FP Blu-ray and DVD also features a special edition collector's booklet with introductions by Rob Zombie (Halloween, House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects) and Brian Taylor & Mark Neveldine (Crank, Crank High Voltage).

In a dystopian future, a relentless turf war rages. Two rival gangs feud for control of rural wasteland Frazier Park ('The FP') in the deadly arena of competitive dance-fight video game "Beat-Beat Revelation." After hometown hero BTRO is slain on the dance platform by thug leader L Dubba E, his protégé younger brother JTRO (Jason Trost) goes into isolation, vowing never to duel again. One year later, The FP is in ruins, and JTRO must find the courage to return and restore order in a ruthless battle for revenge that can only leave one man dancing. Featuring narration by James Remar (The Warriors), The FP is a fury of fierce footwork, triumphant montages and neon street wear.

Critics and audiences alike have already chimed in on The FP. Wired declared it "an instant cult classic," and TwitchFilm called it "consistently and profanely funny." "A bizarre amalgamation of Streets of Fire set in the world of Escape From New York, mixed with the heart and soul of Rocky," raved Starburst and Collider said "You're gonna have a blast!"

Bonus features on The FP Blu-ray and DVD include:

  • Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished: The Making Of The FP

    - Costume Designing The FP: Interview with Sarah Trost

    - Scoring In The FP: Interview with Composer George Holdcroft

    - The FP In The FP: A Return To Fraizer Park

    - Audio Commentary by the Trost Bros.

    - Special collector's edition booklet with introduction by directors Rob Zombie and Brian Taylor & Mark Neveldine

    - Motion main menus for both Blu-ray and DVD

The FP was released March 16th, 2012.
