On the heels of a behind-the-scenes featurette released earlier this month, The Weinstein Company has debuted an extended TV spot for The Giver. Brenton Thwaites stars as a young man named Jonas, who begins to learn the dark secrets of his serene and peaceful community after taking the position Receiver of Memory. Jeff Bridges stars as the title character, alongside an all-star cast including Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgård, Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift in this adaptation of Lois Lowry's classic young adult novel, arriving in theaters August 15.
