‘The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)’ Will Take Place in Prison

Eric Roberts joins the cast of The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence) Oscar nominee Eric Roberts has joined the cast of writer-director Tom Six's franchise finale The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence).

Producer Ilona Six also confirmed that Tommy Lister, Robert LaSardo, and Bree Olson have joined the cast. No character details were released.

We reported in January that The Human Centipede (First Sequence) star Dieter Laser is joining The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) star Laurence R. Harvey as a villainous duo, with writer-director Tom Six starring as well. Our report from January also revealed that a "big American celebrity" will make a cameo appearance in this sequel, which will feature a 500-person centipede.

In related news, a casting breakdown offers a few spoilers about where this massive centipede will take place. There are spoilers below, so read on at your own risk.

"PRISON INMATES (NON UNION) / Non-Union / Human Centipede III / Background / Male / All Ethnicities / 18-65

Human Centipede III, a horror film, is looking for gentlemen of all ages, sizes, and ethnicities to play PRISON INMATES starting Thursday - May 16 in Los Angeles. These prisoners will work up to 13 days between May 16 and June 6. We will be shooting at a number of actual prisons in the LA area. Applicants can be expected to engage in regular prisoner activities like rioting, screaming, and fighting. However, this is a Human Centipede movie. THERE WILL BE SOME SCENES TOWARDS THE END OF THE SHOOT REQUIRING PRISONERS TO BE PART OF THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE. Actors will be fully clothed, but will be asked to pose on their hands and knees rear end to mouth. Please do not apply if uncomfortable with this process. Show is non union. Rate is 64.00/8 + Mileage on some far away prison shoot days."

Production is currently under way in California, although it is not known when this sequel may be released. Eric Roberts most recently starred in Uwe Boll's Assault on Wall Street, and will next be seen in Abstraction and Lovelace.

The Human Centipede Part 3 (Final Sequence) was released May 22nd, 2015.

@skywise Understandable. And yeah, I think we had a similar convo before. I just think most people dislike these films for the wrong reason a majority of the time.

@crypt I love horror too. But I am picky. For me, if they are not going for extreme camp then I require good acting. I have always felt that horror is only as effective as the actors allow you to believe it is. If the actors are not convincing that they are scared or in pain or if you dont care about those characters there is nothing to become invested in. (I think we might have had this exact convo once before) I dont mind gore movies if they are creative but I prefer a more subtle approach to horror.

        Its just that...nothings shocking.

@skywise I'll butt in and say that I don't think they're so horrible, as everyone says. I personally enjoy them, but this is from a hardcore horror fan's stance. From the average movie goer, they'll probably seem silly, and gross; and as far as movie quality goes, I don't see how they're all that sh*tty. I mean minus the acting, the cinematography, and screenwriting direction doesn't seem horribly sh*tty to me. I mean it's a movie with a plot of sewing people to someone's ass. They did the best they could with a ridiculous plot.

I don't know...I'm thinking some of the prisoners might enjoy that kind of thing.

"Hey guys, I have an idea: Lets create a Human Centipede so we can break out of prison!"

I bet that's how it goes.

@thomasclarke So aside from content they are just plain bad movies? I cant see what all the hype has been surrounding these.

@skywise The first film is barely watchable but is much better than the first - for one thing the second one is not even in colour. This looks poor mind, the second one is poor.

Haven't seen them. Heard of them. Decided I never would see them. Now they're taking it to prison? There's already stuff you don't want to see in prison ...

Sounds like the perfect match up! :P

@adamsandlerfggot69 i really have no desire to see it as i have heard many say similar things but there is always the other side of the coin. Those who find it so worthy of the genre that I cant help but be intruiged.

having said that, i think I will take your advice and steer clear.

@skywise Do yourself a favor and don't. I don't say that because I thought it was gross or anything - I say that because it's a waste of time.
