Director Gary Ross has turned his attention to casting the male side of The Hunger Games, now that Jennifer Lawrence is set to play Katniss Everdeen. Actors such as Josh Hutcherson, Alexander Ludwig, Hunter Parrish, Lucas Till, and Evan Peters will all be reading for the role of Peeta.

Peeta is a young lad from Katniss Everdeen's town who is also chosen for The Hunger Games, a nationally televised fight to the death between teens from all 12 regions of this alternate America. Peeta expresses his love for Katniss, although she isn't sure if it is true or just a ploy.

The other main role is Gale, who becomes somewhat of a mentor to Katniss, teaching her survival skills. Liam Hemsworth, David Henrie, Robbie Amell, and Drew Roy will all test for the Gale role.

Testing is currently taking place today in Los Angeles. It isn't clear when production will start on The Hunger Games yet.
