With the success of The Hunger Games, it should comes as no surprise that this franchise is being spun off into the toy world, with Mattel creating the first doll from the series. That's right, Katniss Everdeen has been turned into a Barbie, complete with Jennifer Lawrence's likeness (sort of) and a bow and arrow accessory. Check out the first images of this doll, which find the literary character-turned-big screen action heroine as she appears in her Games survival gear.
Bill Greening designed the doll, and had this to say about its creation.
"I chose to dress her in the outfit she wears during the games, since this is where all the non-stop action takes place and is instantly recognizable by fans. Of course, she wears her mockingjay pin proudly on her lapel. Hopefully Hunger Games fans can appreciate the attention to detail. The doll's minimalistic style and details - such as her loosely braided hair and makeup-free look - also really embody the heroic character Katniss."
The Katniss Everdeen Barbie won't be in stores until August. You can pre-order this doll right now: CLICK HERE
