In anticipation of the MTV Video Music Awards airing live on August 24, the network debuted the special Dave Skylark's Very Special VMA Special last night, which you can now watch in its entirety.

The special finds Seth Rogen and James Franco reprising their roles from the upcoming Christmas release The Interview. Watch as interviewer Dave Skylark (James Franco) and producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) grill each interviewee (Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea and Jason Derulo) about everything ranging from derrières to the benefits of being Australian and the merits of singing one's name. The Interview isn't in theaters until Christmas Day, but you can get to know Dave and Aaron now.

Seth Rogen and James Franco kicked off VMA week with their 30-minute special Dave Skylark's Very Special VMA Special last night. Featuring Seth Rogen and James Franco in character from their upcoming film The Interview, Dave Skylark's Very Special VMA Special features VMA performers Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea and VMA nominee Jason Derulo subjecting themselves to the hilarious antics of the fictional popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight."

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the most unlikely candidates, to "take out" Kim Jong-un.

The film is directed by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg. The screenplay is by Dan Sterling, with a story by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg & Dan Sterling. The producers are Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver. The film will be released on December 25.

Dave Skylark's Very Special VMA Special aired exactly one week in advance of the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, featuring performances by Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea with Rita Ora, Usher, Maroon 5, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande and Beyoncé. The VMAs will air LIVE from The Forum in Inglewood, CA on Sunday, August 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
