It seems Warner Bros. is resurrecting a popular 1964 TV series for the big screen with a new writer and director. According to Heat Vision Blog, Max Borenstein has been hired to write a big-screen adaptation of The Man from U.N.C.L.E..

David Dobkin has been set to direct the film, which will be based off the popular NBC series that ran from 1964 to 1968. The spy show revolved around agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin who worked for United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) who tried to fend off the evil deeds perpetrated by Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity (T.H.R.U.S.H.)

Robert Vaughn and David McCallum starred in the original series. No casting information or production schedule was released for the new film.
